Why do I do That to You?

Spotted just this past weekend by paparazzi, Jason Aldean was found at a bar in Los Angeles, California kissing and dancing with an American Idol contestant, Brittany Kerr. As all of his fans know that she is not his wife. The question is, does this make Jason Aldean a cheater? Personally, I think Brittany is at as much fault as he is.

Jason and Brittany were at the party Friday night, twenty-one pictures were released on Sunday by Taste of Country, he made a public apology on  Facebook and Twitter on Sunday and Taste of Country on Monday, and Brittany didn't release any commentary until Tuesday on Taste of Country. Even though Jason did apologize, that does not justify the situation or make it right. I see it as cheating and I belive that cheating is wrong. Men and women are cheated on everyday and I don't like it. Being unloyal like that ruins relationships and causes broken homes. Jason did say that he "screwed up" and I one-hundred percent agree with that statement. He also said that he "had too much to drink, and let the party get out of hand." Once again, I completely agree. It's kind of hard for me to accept him blaming it all on alcohol. Personally, I don't think he needed to be out without his wife, and a grown man knows how to behave. However, I do think that Jason will try to fix the mess he got into because he said, "I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support." It is good that he apologized to his fans, but that doesn't mean his wife and two little girls are okay with everything. This is something they have to deal with for the rest of their lives. As a fan, I am pretty upset about it...and I'm not even his wife.

Personally, I think that Brittany's behavior was just as low and cold as Jason's was. Not only did she just contribute to possibly breaking a family and marriage, but I guess she was she was also too good to give a true apology within reasonable timing. According to Taste of Country, she "continues to take a beating from media and country music fans over the pair’s indiscretion." Well, that's just tough. She made her bed, now she's gotta lay in it. Brittany says that "the actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family.”  I think she's lying. Any country fan could tell you that he has been married to his wife, Jessica, for over ten years and that they have two daughters. Taste of Country even stated that she told her friends "after the story broke that she didn’t know Aldean was married and if she had, she’d never have taken things as far as they went, which contradicts her statement about having a 'lapse in judgment.” Also, the last people she needs to say sorry to is her friends and family. Brittany needs to be worried about Jason Aldean's family. After all, he is married and has children! Because of what happened, several Jason Aldean fans have blasted her on twitter with how they feel about her. Some fans called her a "homewrecker" and others said that "she took advantage of a married man while he was drinking." Due to the opinionated comments, Brittany deactivated her account. If the account was still active I would say "suck it up, butter cup!" Brittany is a grown woman, just like Jason Aldean is a grown man, and she has just as much control of her actions.

Cheating is wrong and it will never be right. Like the example I have just shared with you, several similar events happen every single day. Absolutely no one deserves it. I really hate that cheaters are amongst the evils of our cruel world. However, I do think that cheating will turn around on you. Just a few days after the incident, a local country radio played one of Jason's songs, 'Why' and referenced what happened. Also, his new album 'Night Train' releases in stores on October 16th. I doubt if there's going to be as many fans as expected to buy that one. As a Jason Aldean fan, I am struggling with whether I want to purchase it or not. Even though I like his music, why would I want to support a cheater?
